Pierre leads the Noetic Society Parmenides study group through another session. Today we read the 4th Hypothesis.

Highlights

We started again at 158B, at the beginning of Hypothesis 4 and I labored at making a fine distinction, but didn't.

Then we picked up where we had left off and went to the end of the Fourth or 159B.

Pierre was pursuing the question, if there's, in fact, reasoning by examination, and reasoning by Logos which is also based on both necessity and clarity, where does this second type of reasoning leave off? He argues the beginning of the 5th Hypothesis you can see the “clear” end of the previous section of reasoning, at 159B4 or so.
